Simple Tips for Business Innovation Ideas

Are you one of those people who can't sleep because an idea keeps on popping in their mind? As what most artists say, creativity never sleeps. But this is also applicable for people with an entrepreneurial mindset, always looking for ways to innovate and reinvent their products. Just take a look at the big names in the industry --- Apple, Microsoft, 3M, and so on and so forth.

Whether you're an aspiring entrepreneur or you're already one, here are some simple tips for you to have a million-dollar idea for your business.

Research

This generation has an access to almost everything and anything under the sun. So, why not utilize this advantage and research about things? Learn more about technological advances and updates or better yet, study how these technologies work. As part of the Seven Pillars of Innovation of the business conglomerate 3M, "Innovation is impossible without a broad base of technology."

Talk
Interact with people. Know what they need. Discover what they lack. Find if there's a gap to fill in because what else should products and services do but to satisfy consumers' needs and wants, right?
Also, talk to people with great minds. Collaborate with them. Artists share their works among each other and get constructive criticisms to further enhance their art. This is a good way to get opinions about your ideas and to know if it can get any better.

Reinvent
Innovative ideas don't always need to be grand and technical. Sometimes, the best ideas came from the little things you notice around you.
Just take this example of reinventing a product which is about a man from India who got frustrated because of the soggy pizzas he always got. He then added vents on top of the pizza box to retain the heat and release the steam. That's it! His pizzas are now the way he wants it to be. You know, sometimes, it just takes a little complaint to make your brain think.
Explore
Have a change of environment. Listen to new music. Learn a new word. Talk to a stranger. Change your daily routine. Explore your surroundings. The goal here is to kickstart your brain and squeeze out the creative juices within you. Steve Jobs found inspiration at the most random things. It isn't always about staying inside your office and browsing things on the net. Have a real human experience to inspire you.

Learn from the experts
Of course, where else should you learn the best formula for success but from the expert themselves, right? Read their biographies. Find out how they got that eureka moment. Discover what their inspirations and goals are. Learn about their strategies, discipline and principles and decide whether you can apply it to your life as a businessperson.
As the Apple genius Steve Jobs said, "We're here to put a dent in the universe. Otherwise, why else even be here?" But mind you, an idea is just a mere idea if you don't do something about it. The business industry is a competitive field. You may be the first one to think of it but others may steal it right away and make millions out of it. So, make sure to remind yourself that innovation and execution go hand-in-hand.
